Oh, the Places We’ll Go

Last year brought with it a lot of changes in the life of our family - it was my last year as a military service member and we welcomed the birth of our son, Theo. With all of this change, I felt a sense of renewal and refocus on what is important in my life. I spent a lot of time investing in my military career, but not necessarily in myself as a person, wife, friend and now mother. That changes now!

I decided this year to refocus on my business, and my family and friends. Unfortunately, Marc will be traveling this year for his work, so that leaves me and Theo to our own devices for part of the year. So we are gonna travel!

Theo is still young, so it will definitely be a challenge. At the same time, going on adventures with my baby will be a unique and fun opportunity for both of us. Our plan is to go on a trip once a month. We will team up with travel partners as well as on our own. The next questions is…where will we go?

You’d be surprised how hard it is to decide where to go when traveling with a baby. It’s not like I’m going backpacking through the Himalayas with a baby strapped to my back. Um, no. But also, I won’t always have my partner in crime (Marc) with me for support. So when choosing locations I had to think about public transportation, lodging, walkability (with or without a stroller), what to pack and how to pack it. I have watched so many YouTube videos on the do’s and don’ts of traveling with a baby. So many thanks to @ryanshirley, @flyingthenest, and @hopscotchtheglobe for travel inspiration. That being said, we are planning (tentatively) on Disney World, New Orleans with family, Washington DC, London for the Coronation with Tio Gino, Switzerland with Tia Kristin, Paris with Mamie, the Middle East with Marc and Tio Gino, The UK with Marc and maybe more. We shall see!

Oh the places we’ll go! I am so excited to start a new journey (literally) and see where the world takes us!
